What to Expect at Sam Houston Night With The Rockets
EXCITING BASKETBALL ACTION
Witness the Houston Rockets in action as they take on fellow title contender, the Oklahoma City Thunder, in a game with several playoff implications. Experience the energy of the stadium and the passion of the fans as you cheer for our hometown team.
Pre-Game Experience
Join us for an unforgettable pregame experience! Faculty, staff, and friends of the University are invited to enjoy an exclusive VIP event, featuring a sit-down dinner and gift bags filled with special surprises.

The first 200 students who register for the pre-game shootaround can watch the Thunder and Rockets warm up before the big game. These students will also receive a $20 food voucher, a gift bag, a t-shirt, and more!
After The Game
At the conclusion of the game, you'll have the chance to take a shot on the court! Those who purchase an exclusive ticket through SHSU can shoot a free throw on the court. Be sure to bring your waiver to participate and make this an unforgettable experience!

The Magic of Sam Houston Night with the Rockets
Sam Houston Rockets Night is student led event by the sport management graduate program. This semester long project is a collaboration between our Sales and Event & Facility Management classes to engage in practical industry experiences that include ticket sales, finance, sponsorship, and event management. Through this unique partnership between the Sam Houston sport management program and the Houston Rockets, our students gain invaluable insight while providing a fun, memorable experience for all participants and raising money for B.I.G. Love Pediatric Cancer Care.
